Report from Bishampton Neighbourhood Watch

Since our report this time last year there have been a number of incidents in the vicinity of Bishampton but fortunately our village has suffered very little in the last twelve months.

There were two break-ins to a shed and a garage from which mowers and strimmers were stolen during May and June, a suspect disturbed at the rear of a house in May, a burglary in August and theft of diesel from a tractor in March.

This, of course, is no reason for becoming complacent so, once again we ask that all parishioners remain vigilant. Should an incident be witnessed or suspects seen loitering the Police MUST be called immediately by using 999.
Less urgent information can be passed to the Police by phoning 08457-444888.

At the end of March our Beat Manager, P.C. Charlie Cavendish, retired after 32 years in the Constabulary and there have been many good wishes for a happy retirement sent to him by parishioners. We are pleased to welcome P.C. Jon Watts as our new Beat Manager, who has already been making himself known around the village.
Jon can be contacted by telephoning 08457-444888 Ext. 3631 or by leaving a message in the Police box in the village shop.
