Report from Bishampton Neighbourhood Watch

This last year has been a relatively quiet one in relation to crime for Bishampton. There have been a number of distraction burglaries in the area but none, I am pleased to say, in the village. This does not mean we should become complacent. Please stay alert to any thing suspicious and report it to the Police immediately you witness the occurrence by dialling 999. Less urgent information can be passed to the Police by telephoning 0845-444888.

I recently attended the District Neighbourhood Watch A.G.M. in Pershore where the Police reiterated their support for the system and congratulated the members of the various watch groups for their vigilance. Keep up the good work!

We have had a year of change as far the Police are concerned. You will remember that this time last year we lost PC. Charlie Cavendish through retirement and he was replaced by PC. Jon Watts. Unfortunately Jon had to leave us due to a move elsewhere and eventually he was replaced by PC. Annie Hamer, who some of you will have met by now.

Annie can be contacted by telephoning 0845-444888 Ext. 3631 or by leaving a message in the Police box in the village shop.
