County Divisional Boundary Changes

1. LOCAL RATE RELIEF
Good news for people who regard the pub as the village parliament. The Parish Council has approved an application for rate relief for the Dolphin. The scheme is designed to aid rural businesses.

2. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
This month the Parish Council considered a number of planning applications including:

• A new 3 bedroom house sited between ‘Elsewhere’ and ‘The Paddocks’ on Broad Lane, Bishampton
• Alterations to Sunny Bank Cottage;
• Installation of recessed timber doors to the front of a cart shed at Highfield House, Main Street
• Erection of a single storey front extension at 8 Stanton Fields, Bishampton.
• A temporary office portacabin at MTC Pershore, Long Lane, Throckmorton.

3. COUNTY DIVISIONAL BOUNDARY CHANGES
The County Council is considering a big shake up in the division boundaries. As a result Bishampton and Throckmorton, along with Pinvin, Wyre Piddle and Lower Moor, could be taken out of the rural Inkberrow division and parcelled up with Pershore. The Parish Council was relieved to hear the four parish councils, who together successfully fought the asylum centre, are being kept together.
