You Choose!!!!!

Come to the meeting.  Drop in anytime to speak to people involved with the Parish Plan and, most importantly, tell the authorities your view!  In the New Year, you have your chance to help decide the future of the Throckmorton Airfield and the Hill and Moor Landfill site, access roads and traffic in the area.  The Parish Plan Group, the Parish, Wychavon District and Worcestershire County Councils have all been working hard to try to find a solution to the problem of what to do with the airfield and the adjoining land.  Whatever the answer it will need the democratic backing of the people in the area - that's us!

The clock is ticking.  The aim is to get our views incorporated into the Wychavon Local Plan.  Sounds dull and boring but the District Council's Plan will shape the future of development in this part of the county for years to come.  Wychavon has until February 17th to submit evidence to a Public Inquiry which gives the government's seal of approval to the Plan.  Before then the Bishampton and Throckmorton Parish Plan group will have had to have drawn up a view of what to do with the airfield.  That is why it is vitally important your take part in this consultation by coming to the meeting.

We're all working together.  Hill and Moor, Pinvin and Wyre Piddle are all working now on their Parish Plans for the airfield, landfill site, access roads and traffic in the area.  If we all speak with one voice and back Wychavon then we will be more powerful.  Doing nothing will weaken Wychavon's case and leave the area ripe for exploitation by the Government or developers.

We've begun.  You may have already given your views on this and other issues in our Parish Plan Survey.   Between 20% and 25% of households in the Parish were quizzed.  This random sample was to enable the Parish Plan group to begin shaping the proposals and policies we might like to see for Bishampton and Throckmorton.

You finish.  However, nothing is settled.  The final drafts of the local Parish Plan will only be written after everyone has had their say. You can register your views as to the appropriate future for the airfield and the landfill site at either of the meetings.  (There will be further consultation on other aspects of the Parish Plan later.)

Have your say.  Please come and tell us about your wishes for the future.  Your voice could make all the difference.  The meetings are informal and open to all.  If you need any help getting to either of the meetings please let us know.  We will be happy to help try to arrange a lift or whatever.
