Parish Plan
Your last chance to have your say is coming soon through your letterbox. The Parish Plan – the summary of how our community sees itself and its future – is nearly complete. One of the most important stages is about to be unleashed. The Parish Plan Questionnaire is to be delivered to every household. It’s in an easy to answer format and covers, we think, all the important issues raised by people who live in the parish. Please take just a little time to look at it. You views will affect the future – but only if you tell us what you want.

New Councillor
A new councillor has been co-opted onto the Parish Council. Mrs Mandy Hall was born and grew up in Bishampton and has recently moved back to the area. She is a most welcome addition to the team, especially as she has many local contacts and training in business management.

Throckmorton Parish Room
The Parish Council has said it will underwrite a potential £4000 bill to move the Throckmorton Parish Room project ahead. The scheme to replace the old scout hut with a spending new edifice may be derailed temporarily by demands from the County archaeologist for an exploratory trench to be dug across the proposed site for the new car park beside the building. Solicitor’s fees too have to be paid for the purchase of the property from the Scouts Association.

Footpaths
Mr Peter Jesson has resigned as co-ordinator of the footpath group and a very big thank you goes to him for his help over the years. A new co-ordinator will be needed and also any new volunteers to walk the local footpaths on a regular basis would be appreciated. Further details can be obtained from the Clerk.

Flooding
Wychavon engineers and Highways are at the moment very active in assessing and investigating the cause of the flooding outside The dolphin and Bishampton Stores. There will be some investigative digs regarding drain damage to assess the problem.
