Parish Plan
Have your say about the Parish Plan. Every household should have received a questionnaire so you can tell us your views on the future of Bishampton and Throckmorton. This is the final consultation stage of the Parish Plan. The results of the survey will be the backbone of the Plan. Please take a few minutes to complete the form and send it back by the closing date, 14th March. If you have any queries or have not received a questionnaire please contact the Parish Council Chairman, Eric Carter on 462847 or Toni Gilligan 561528.

We hope to have the results of the survey and a draft Parish Plan at the Annual Parish meetings. (13th April at Bishampton, 20th April at Throckmorton.)

Throckmorton Parish Room
The purchase of the Parish Room at Throckmorton is expected to go ahead at the end of this month. The Throckmorton Village Charity is due to complete the deal with the Scout Association and Trust Corporation. The irony, of course, is that the building was given to the Scouts for nothing in the 70s. However, present day rules on charities mean we have to buy it back at a market price.

Want to know who is building a three-story extension at the bottom of your garden? Now you can keep up to date. A list of planning application will be posted on the Parish Council notice boards and updated every week.

Bishampton Village Parking
The campaign to keep cars off our pavements is working. Sticking leaflets on the widescreens of offending vehicles appears to have shamed those inconsiderate drivers into thinking of others.

Footpaths
Being as thick as two short planks is not good enough for the people of Bishampton. The problem is with some of the ditch crossing on footpath routes around the village. To the west, the crossings are three planks wide. However, to the east, they are a plank short making them a challenge even for tightrope walkers. The council is seeking to get them widened.
