BISHAMPTON AND THROCKMORTON PARISH COUNCIL
PARISH COUNCIL NEWS: MARCH 2005
Parish Plan
The Parish Council would like to thank all of those who took the trouble
to return the Parish Plan questionnaire. The return has been close to 60% and
we are now attempting to evaluate the general trends.
Annual Parish Meetings
Please note that the Annual
Parish Meetings will take place at 7.30 pm as follows
It is hoped to be able to give everyone a preliminary report on the results of the Parish Plan survey.
Village Recycling
Changes are taking place in the
recycling and refuse collection arrangements in the parishes and it is hoped
to have a recycling facility in Bishampton in the near future. We will try
and provide further information at the annual meetings.
Bishampton Play Area
Play area plans have now been
submitted to Wychavon District Council for planning approval.
Surplus Antique Computer
There is an old computer,
the one that used to live in Bishampton stores three years ago, which is,
not surprisingly, no longer required by Wychavon DC. This is a pretty antiquated
machine (circa pre-Pentium) but should be satisfactory for simple word processing
or web browsing via a modem. If there is anyone with a good case or a good
cause for receiving the computer could you please furnish written information
to the Clerk to the Parish, Anne Boocock, and I will see what I can do about
getting it going.
