BISHAMPTON AND THROCKMORTON PARISH COUNCIL
PARISH COUNCIL NEWS: APRIL 2006
Throckmorton Annual Parish Meeting
Throckmorton Annual Parish Meeting
Please
note that we are not able to hold this meeting in the Chapelry as has been
suggested and, since there is no other venue in Throckmorton, the meeting
will now be held in the Villages Hall at Bishampton. Because the hall
is not available on the date proposed the meeting will now take place at
7.00pm on Monday 8th May. Subsequently moved to Monday 22nd May at 7.30pm still at
the Villages Hall.
The meeting is a public
meeting to which all members of the parish of Throckmorton, including Tilesford,
are invited, indeed encouraged, to attend. The meeting is empowered to discuss
parish affairs and pass resolutions. If you have any items you would like to
see placed on the agenda please pass them to the clerk.
If
anyone needs or can offer transport to and from the meeting please let the
clerk know.
Bishampton Annual Meeting

.
The meeting is a public meeting to which

Village Litter Cleans – volunteers
needed
The council agreed to undertake
a litter clean of the verges of Throckmorton & Bishampton
and apply for the bursary which is up to £500, the amount we received
last year for this activity. The activity is being co-ordinated by councillors
Mandy Hall for Bishampton and Toni Gilligan for Throckmorton with a proposed
clean-up weekend of April 29th to May 1st. Whilst this would be ideal, because
the hedgerows will not have grown up much by then, it may be a little bit tight
to organise so please watch the notice boards. If you would are able to help,
and we do need rather more help than last year, particularly in Throckmorton,
please contact either of the councillors or the clerk
2006 Wychavon Games
There
are notices on the notice boards for these and if anyone wishes to enter
a local parish team in any of the events ( Bell Boating, Five-a-side, Rounders,
Cross Country, Angling) Junior Table Tennis, Senior Table Tennis) please
contact the clerk.
