BISHAMPTON AND THROCKMORTON PARISH COUNCIL
PARISH COUNCIL NEWS: JUNE 2008
Play Area
As we write, the new play area at Bishampton
Villages Hall is being installed, ready to entertain little ones from all over
the area for the summer. A grand opening will be planned when everything is
complete – watch the notice board for details.
War Memorial
The War Memorial is undergoing a facelift at present. The stone is being cleaned
by the parish lengthsman and a local expert is trimming back the holly trees
which had become very overgrown. It is hoped they can be kept under control
from now on but it is clear that some major surgery may be necessary.
PACT
The PACT scheme is Police and Community Together and, headed by our local officers,
aims to bring all local agencies together to deal with local issues in a co-ordinated
way. There is a questionnaire in the shop at present where anyone can fill in
postcard to bring up any issues which they feel may need attention.
Next
Meeting
The next meeting of the council
is scheduled for Monday, July 7th, at Throckmorton Parish Room. Watch the notice
boards for details of the agenda. All Parish Council meetings begin with an
open forum session for people to raise issues/ideas for consideration by the
council. Or contact parish clerk Carolyn Morris on 01386 554058 - email fimor@aol.com
