BISHAMPTON AND THROCKMORTON PARISH COUNCIL
PARISH COUNCIL NEWS: MAY 2008
Annual Parish
Meeting
Just four members of the public attended the Bishampton Annual Parish Meeting
(Throckmorton’s was to be held later in May). Village organisations gave
their reports and the chairman of the parish council gave his annual round-up
of events. Details will be placed on the parish website. Issues raised included
the state of the Bishampton pavements and problems with lorries turning in Moat
Farm Lane, which they sometimes do not realise is a cul-de-sac.
Also there were complaints about dog fouling once again – please remember
that it is harmful to grazing animals and for crops, and that the same rules
apply if you leave dog mess in farmers’ fields.
PC AGM
The annual meeting of the parish council saw Cllr Don Cheetham unanimously re-elected
as chairman and Cllr Charles Tucker unanimously elected vice chairman.
Local Police Officer
The parish council welcomed PC Stuart Toms as the new Local Police Officer for
this area. He can be contacted via Evesham police station. Also see the www.westmercia.police.uk
website for details of the Evesham Rural West Team.
