BISHAMPTON AND THROCKMORTON PARISH COUNCIL

PARISH COUNCIL NEWS: OCTOBER 2008

FOOTPATHS
After many years as Footpath Warden for the parish, Mr Peter Averis has announced that he plans to retire at the end of the year. Mr Averis has kept an eye on and co-ordinated action to keep the local footpath network in good order and the parish council sent him sincere thanks on behalf of the community for his much-appreciated work. The PC is now looking for a replacement. If anyone regularly walks the local paths and would be willing to play a slightly more active role in helping monitor them, please contact the clerk, as below. Anyone who would like to be a named volunteer, who could report on the state of a particular path is also asked to get in touch so that the Parish Paths Partnership scheme, co-ordinating action between the parish and county council can be revived.

Next Meeting
The next meeting of the council is scheduled for Monday, November 3rd, at Bishampton Village Hall. Watch the notice boards for details of the agenda. All Parish Council meetings begin with an open forum session for people to raise issues/ideas for consideration by the council.
