ANNUAL PARISH MEETINGS
The Annual Parish Meeting is a chance for parishioners to have their say on parish matters and raise issues with the parish council - or give suggestions for the year ahead. Topics up for discussion will include the role of the parish council and the Lenches wind farm. The Bishampton meeting is scheduled to take place at Bishampton Villages Hall at 7.45pm on Monday, May 11th, before the May meeting of the parish council (its own AGM). Throckmorton’s meeting is being scheduled for May – watch the noticeboards for details.

RESIGNATION
Cllr Duncan Burtoft handed in a letter of resignation at the last PC meeting – he felt unable to continue due to his heavy work commitments. At the time of writing the PC is going through the vacancy process which will happen by bye-election or co-option. All members wish to thank Duncan for all his hard work on the council, on behalf of the whole community, and wish him well for the future.

WIND TURBINES
Scottish Power’s Planning Application to site wind monitoring masts in the Lenches has been approved by Wychavon’s planning committee. The parish council would like to know your views on the turbine plan – come along to the parish meeting (see above) or email/write to the clerk to give your views.

DOG MESS
Again, problems with dog mess have been arising in Bishampton. In particular, problems are being experienced on the path which crosses land at the Dolphin. Please make use of the dog bins provided round the village. Anyone whose pet causes a nuisance will be reported to the dog warden.

LITTER PICK
Belated but grateful thanks go out to all those who took up a stick and did their bit during litter pick weekend. As usual, dozens of sacks of rubbish were collected from the parish hedgerows. Unfortunately, the district council has axed its usual grant for the coming year but the work has meant that rubbish will not pile up before it can be done again. Thanks again to all.

Next Meeting
The next meeting of the council is the May meeting as above. They are usually held on the first Monday of the month at 7.30pm and alternate between Bishampton and Throckmorton halls. Watch the notice boards for details of the agenda. All meetings begin with an open forum session for people to raise issues/ideas for consideration by the council.
