FLOOD ALLEVIATION
Councillors have met with officers from Wychavon District Council and Worcestershire County in Bishampton to stress to them the urgency of completing the works promised before the last flood to alleviate Broad Lane drainage. Members also asked for the experts to study the drainage patterns around the village to see where further improvements could be made.

COUNCIL PRECEPT
The parish council set its precept in December – its portion of the council tax bill - reducing it from £18,720 to £17,500 for the year ahead.

PLANS
A recent plan to further extend Willow Bank residential home in Tilesford was refused by Wychavon District Council on the grounds of overcrowding.

CHRISTMAS
Thanks are due to the Day family for their supply of the lovely Christmas tree which lit up the centre of Bishampton. The PC is also very grateful to Mr and Mrs Bufton for allowing the use of their electricity and members were pleased to lend their support to what was such a popular carol singing session on Christmas Eve.

Next Meeting
The next meeting of the council is scheduled for Monday, February 2nd, at Throckmorton Parish Room. Watch the notice boards for details of the agenda. All Parish Council meetings begin (7.30pm) with an open forum session for people to raise issues/ideas for consideration by the council.
