Annual Parish Meetings

Dog Mess

ANNUAL PARISH MEETINGS
Thanks to all those who turned out to the Bishampton Annual Parish Meeting. The chairman made his annual report,as did district and county councillor Liz Tucker and those present were able to question them, put their points of view and also to hear a talk from Mr Rod Stroud of the VVASP group (Vale Villages Against Scottish Power), which is campaigning against the plans to build wind turbines in the Lenches. Throckmorton’s Parish Meeting will be staged before the next Parish Council meeting on June 1.

DOG MESS
This was an issue raised again at the parish meeting. It was noted that Wychavon DC has greatly increased its costs for extra dog bins and removed its dog bag service. While it was recognised that many people are responsible owners – and that in some places, the streets are very clean – there are some who allow their dogs to foul other people’s land, which that includes open fields and footpaths. All are keeping their eyes peeled for nuisance dogs and owners will be reported to the dog warden.

Next Meeting
The next meeting of the council takes place on Monday, June 1st, at Throckmorton Parish Room, to be preceded by the Throckmorton Annual Parish Meeting – an open forum for parishioners to raise issues with thecouncil. Meetings are usually held on the first Monday of the month at 7.30pm and alternate between Bishampton and Throckmorton halls. Watch the notice boards for details of the agenda. All meetings begin with an open forum session for people to raise issues/ideas for consideration by the council.
