COUNCILLORS
Another vacancy has arisen on the parish council with the resignation of Cllr Jon Morrison, who is moving away. The council wishes him every success in his new home and thanks him on behalf of the community for his three years served on the parish council. The council hopes to co-opt a new member at the November meeting.

CRIME
A number of crimes have been reported to the police lately around Bishampton, some more serious than others. The police advise anyone with information to call on the non-urgent police number – 0300 3333000 – so they can collate the details and take action.

KIOSKS
BT plans to close the two public telephones in the parish. It has offered the kiosks to the parish at the cost of £1 and the PC has agreed to purchase the Bishampton kiosk, which will mean taking on the costs/responsibility for its future. Councillors are considering using it as an information centre – ideas welcome!

GRANT
The PC donated £50 to the Bishampton & District Gardening Club, along with another £22 to pay for bulbs which members have kindly agreed to plat at the War Memorial.

Next Meeting
The next meeting of the council takes place on Monday, November 2nd, at Throckmorton Parish Room. Then December 7th at Bishampton. Meetings are usually held on the first Monday of the month and start at 7.30pm and alternate between Bishampton and Throckmorton halls. Watch the notice boards for details of the agenda. All meetings begin with an open forum session for people to raise issues/ideas for consideration by the council. Or
